Sweet D'angelo Delights

It is a Portuguese traditional dessert, which contains egg yolk and coconut’s scrapes. It was brought to Brazil by African slaves when the country  was still an Empire. This dessert pleases refined palates that are opened to the most delicious and traditional Brazilian dessert dishes.

Suspiros (vanilla and lemon)
 

Simple and delicious,  Suspiro, also known as “merengue” was created around the 17th century and has been enchanting people’s palate throughout the world. It is believed that this dessert was created by an Italian baker who used to live next to the Swiss from Meiringen. Apart from being delicious as a candy itself, Suspiro is frequently used as a complement to many other  desserts, such as pies, cakes and even mousses.

Chuvisco
 

Brought by the Portuguese Court, at the Empire times, Chuvisco was broadly spread in Brazil, being known as the Emperor D. Pedro I’s favorite dessert.

Mentirinha (biscuit)

It is a sweet and traditional biscuit, highly appreciated by its simple and delicious recipe. w Surprisingly, there is no butter in its composition,that’s why it is called  “mentirinha”, which means “little lie” in Portuguese. It goes great  with a cup of coffee or the afternoon tea.
